Each element in this tatreez kit is intentionally chosen to help you experience palestinian Tatreez as our ancestors did: slowly, thoughtfully, and with deep reverence for the earth.
Inside the kit, you’ll find:
👜 A 100% cotton canvas tote;
🌿 Hand-dyed 20/4 Sashiko thread using cochineal (length of 22 yds);
🧵 Waste canvas, needle, hoop, sewing thread;
✂️ The cutest scissors ever;
💌 A card that shares the story and;

Every thread in this kit has been hand-dyed using time-honored techniques with cochineal—a vibrant, earthy red dye derived from insects that live on cactus plants, once used throughout Palestine. The result is a color that carries meaning: love, strength, and the life force of our land.
✨ Is Tatreez Bag kit beginner-friendly?
Not quite. Due to the thickness of the high-quality canvas tote, this project is better suited for intermediate Tatreez artists or confident beginners who are up for a challenge. It may require extra patience and care as you work your stitches into the fabric—but that’s part of the beauty of it.
This is a slow, mindful craft project that rewards persistence and presence.
