I’m a Palestinian Panamanian in the diaspora who’s been obsessed with the magic of handmade tatreez on a Palestinian thobe (dress) for years.
It took me 2 years to finish my first fully handmade garment - 5 yards of fabric with 70k+ stitches - just in time to wear it to my Katib Kitab (religious wedding ceremony), similar to the traditions of my Palestinian ancestors.
